Wayne Sigler, LMT NCTM

Massage Therapist / Chiropractic Assistant

My name is Wayne Sigler. After 32 years with Verizon, with the last eighteen years as a lineman, I decided it was time for a change. Working outside in the elements became less and less appealing with each passing year. I sought out and received a professional massage in Allentown about a year prior to entering the massage industry myself. I was so thoroughly impressed with the therapist's knowledge and technique that that, coupled with the opportunity to leave Verizon being offered me, was just the catalyst I needed to start my new career as a massage therapist.

I attended The Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy, located in Quakertown, Pa, from January-August of 2008. This institute is a small, family run school, that pays a great deal of attention to the study of anatomy and physiology, as well as, massage techniques. They also provide instruction involving several more advanced types of massage and stretching techniques taken from nationally and internationally renowned teachers in the massage community.

Early on in my education, I had the opportunity to attend a 3 day seminar on Orthopedic massage, taught by James Waslaski, former massage therapist at the Atlanta Olympics and for the New York Yankees. It was here that I discovered the direction that I wanted to go in massage. I have taken a total of 80 hours of training in Orthopedic and sports massage from James and have met many wonderful massage therapists from all around the Northeast.

I was also fortunate enough to have chosen a school that encouraged the use of this knowledge even during clinical hours, before I graduated. To be able to question, assess and treat a client with a debilitating condition and see the relief in their face when they are once again able to move freely without pain, is very rewarding.
